A. Heading

  • Date and time of report
  • tcal - the code identifies the Experian or Credit Bureau office nearest to the consumer's current address.

B. Identifying Information

  • Consumer's name and address
  • Number of subscribers reporting the address via the update tape (U=Update Tape, I=Inquiry, M=Manual Data)
  • Account number for last subscriber reporting the consumer at their current address
  • Consumer's previous address with source
  • An asterisk preceding any address indicates the address was not entered on inquiry
  • Consumer's Social Security number and other SSNs reported on the consumer's file. An asterisk denotes any SSN not matching the inquiry.
  • Consumer's year of birth

C. Employment

  • Employer's name and address including time frame reported and source (U=Update Tape, I=Inquiry)
  • Previous employer's name and address with time farme reported and source.

D. National Risk Score

  • Risk model score: generated if you use Experian's credit risk models. Optional with RM keyword on inquiry.
  • May also optionally display score factor code definitions.
  • Score rates consumer on scale of 1-1,000; 1 being the best credit and 1,000 being the worst.

E. Public Records

  • Public Record information consists of bankruptcies, liens and civil actions against a consumer.
  • Reporting account's name and number
  • Original filing date with court
  • Status date if status is satisfied, released, vacated, discharged or dismissed
  • Amount and type of public record
  • Certificate or docket number
  • Code describing the consumer's association to the public record item per the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
  • Book and page number; Plaintiff name; Liability and asset amounts for bankruptcies only
  • Voluntary indicator for bankruptcies only. May display as VOLUN or INVOL
  • An asterisk preceding public record information or a tradeline indicates that information may been further review.

F. Trade Lines

  • SUBSCRIBER and SUB# - reporting subscriber's name and number
  • KOB(kind of business code) - describes a subscriber's business. The first letter designates an industry. The second character more narrowly defines a subscriber's business.
  • TYP and TRM - type and terms of account
  • ECOA - code describing subscriber's association to the account per the Equal Credit Opportunity Act
  • ACCOUNT# and OPEN - subscriber's account number and the date the account was opened.
  • BALDATE - the date of the subscriber's accounts receivable tape for open accounts
  • AMT-TYP1 - the amount of the loan or credit established and the code that indicates if the amount is an original loan (O), credit limit (L), high balance (H), initial chargeoff (C), or unknown (blank).
  • BALANCE and MONTH PAY - current balance on the account and payment amount the subscriber is scheduled to pay on the account
  • PYMT LEVEL and PAST DUE - the date the account first reached the present status level and the amount past due for the account.
  • ACCTCOND and MOs REV - the account condition indicates the state of account and months reviewed indicates the total number of months history has been maintained for the account.
  • MAXIMUM - max delinquency and payment code are the most recent date and code of the worst states beyond the 25-month payment history.

G. Payment History

  • PYMT STATUS - comments reflect the payment history of the account as of the balance date.
  • PYMT HISTORY - during the past 25 months beginning with month represented by balance date. The codes reflect the status of the account for each month and are displayed for balance reporting subscribers only (refer to Status Codes below.)

H. Inquiries

  • Indicate a profile report was received on that date by the subscriber listed. Inquiring subscriber name, number and KOB are shown. Type, terms, and amount may display and are from the subscriber's inquiry input.
